Marks made with this drawing process burst from the drawing’s center fueled by collected wind data. As each hour’s data starts to be processed, a point of origin is determined around the center. This point lies at the end of an invisible arm whose length is related to the hour’s average wind speed and its degree of rotation relates to time. From this point of origin, sixty other points of origin are determined, one for each minute of that hour. The distance from the hour’s point of origin relates to that minute’s average wind speed. Finally, from each minute’s point of origin, a small circle is drawn at a distance from the minute’s point of origin relating to that second’s wind speed. The circle’s color is keyed to wind direction and the color of the line from the minute’s point of origin relates to the hour of day.

Around each hour’s point of origin, a black arc is drawn with its center oriented around the hour’s point of origin according to the hour’s average wind direction. The arc’s size and thickness relate to the hour’s average wind speed. For each minute’s point of origin, a black circle is drawn at a size determined by that minute’s average wind speed.
