Global warming is one of those problems that seems too big to comprehend. To help myself and others understand the scope of the problem, I designed an installation at RISD’S Graphic Design MFA show.

I suspended 540 large black balloons above the floor in the lobby outside the gallery. The air contained inside the balloons was equivalent in weight to one day of my carbon dioxide emissions (62 pounds).

This delightful, yet oppressive mass hung above a chart on the wall showing how different activities contributed to this figure over the course of a year.
